Muhammad Ali-signed gloves stolen

Twenty boxing gloves signed by Muhammad Ali are among items of sports memorabilia valued at more than £30,000 stolen in a burglary in Essex.
Sport and Star Autographs 2000 Ltd in Basildon was broken into at 1300 GMT on Wednesday. Essex Police said the gloves are signed "Muhammad Ali aka Cassius Clay" and together are worth £17,000. Worn and signed football shirts valued at £9,500 and 178 celebrity-signed photos worth £7,290 were also stolen.
Det Con Rob Lewis said:

"This break-in took place in the middle of the day when there must have been people in the area so I would urge anyone who has seen any suspicious behaviour to call.
"Indeed it is important that anyone who is offered any signed merchandise at a knock-down price contact me as soon as possible.
"Some of these items are quite rare and very distinctive so I ask people to be on their guard and contact me with any information they may have."
